What a week it has been! Thank you for all the support. We’re looking forward to closing the open edition mint on Monday, May 29th at 5pm ET.
Once that is closed, we will officially kick off the program on Thursday, June 1st at 4pm ET.
In case you’re looking to get caught up to speed, so far we’ve explored the purpose of My First DAO, explained the Learn and Earn Program, and outlined the curriculum.
Now, we’ll do a deeper dive into the DAO treasury and NFT Project IP hand-off.
We’ve received quite a few questions about this over the past few days and are excited to share more about how it works.
Once the sale of the open edition DAOphin NFT closes, 60% of the mint proceeds will be stored in an untouched treasury to be handed over to the DAO upon completion of the program. In addition, all the DAOphin NFT IP will also be passed over to the DAO.
We were inspired to do this because we believe that DAO knowledge is best internalized through practice and experience. While the weekly workshops lay the groundwork for learning about DAOs, we believe that practical experience getting involved in an operating DAO is the best way to learn.
There is no better way to provide this experience than to give the MFD members all the resources they need to dive into the next stage of their personal development in the world of DAOs.
When DAOs are able to focus entirely on their mission, they are immensely impactful. That’s why we wanted to set My First DAO members up to succeed by handing over the DAO with a funded treasury and the DAOphin NFT Project IP.
This way, DAO members do not need to focus on raising funds or designing a project themselves. They can turn their attention to the next phase of growth for My First DAO or whatever else they want to name the collection.
